Dr. John Mulryan, English professor emeritus, joined panelists from France, Germany, the Netherlands, England, Scotland, and Ivy league universities to give a presentation in March at an international conference in Toronto on mythology, covering classical myth in the Renaissance.
On June 18, at the international Milton conference in Strasbourg, France, Mulryan gave a warmly received talk titled “Paradise Lost in Translation: The Strasbourg Connection.” Since Strasbourg is a bilingual city, Mulryan’s paper dealt with French and German translations of John Milton’s “Paradise Lost.”
Mulryan retired in 2011 after 45 years as an English professor at St. Bonaventure.
